Moon phase meanings
Move with the quiet rhythm of the moon.
The lunar cycle gives a beautiful language to beginnings, growth, visibility, release, and rest. Each phase has its own atmosphere, from the hush of the New Moon to the bright, emotional clarity of the Full Moon.

How to read the cycle
A rhythm you can return to.
Some nights feel like a beginning. Some feel like a threshold. Some ask for movement, and some ask for the kind of quiet that lets everything settle. The moon phases gather those moods into a cycle you can read, revisit, and make your own.
Why the moon changes
The phase is not a different moon. It is a different angle.
The Moon is always whole, but it does not shine by itself. What we see is sunlight reflecting from its surface. As the Moon travels around Earth, our view of that sunlit side changes: sometimes the bright face is turned away from us, sometimes it grows as a crescent, sometimes it opens into a full silver disc.
That simple movement is what gives the lunar cycle its emotional language. A New Moon can feel private because the light is hidden. A First Quarter can feel decisive because the sky is visibly divided. A Full Moon can feel exposing because the whole near side is lit. The science and the symbolism do not have to compete; together, they make the rhythm easier to understand.

Each phase has a different emotional texture. Some ask for movement, some ask for honesty, and some ask you to stop turning rest into something you have to earn.

Waxing and waning
Two halves of one breath.
Waxing
From New Moon to Full Moon, the light grows. The waxing half carries the feeling of beginning, choosing, building, and letting something become visible.
Waning
From Full Moon back to New Moon, the light softens. The waning half carries the feeling of integrating, clearing, forgiving, and making room for what comes next.
